What do i do if I have an emergency?

We reserve emergency slots each day but there may not be time for definite treatment and if we are busy you may need to sit and wait. We can only have one person in each chair at a time!

If you are a regular attender at the practice and have a dental emergency out of hours (severe bleeding, trauma or swelling), please call the practice number on 01481 232929 where you will be directed one of our dentists.

  • Please be aware there will be an out of hour call-out fee on top of any treatment provided
  • Unfortunately toothache does not qualify as a dental emergency, however we can offer advice on pain relief

If you are not registered with us or any other practice, please call the Emergency Department or 01481 220000 where you will be directed to the island's On-Call Emergency Dentist. The same criteria for a dental emergency will apply.

Do you treat children and are they seen for free ?

We love treating children and advise that you bring little ones with you from an early age so they become used to the environment and have a ride on the dental chair before booking them in for their own check ups.

If your child is under the age of 18 they will be entitled to one free check up per year funded by the new Subsidised Primary Care and Dental Scheme. In order to claim your free check up you will need to provide your child’s GY number and school name before their appointment.

If your child or children are brought in for a check up more frequently than once per year we charge the following:

£27 for the first child check up

£17 each for any siblings booked in at the same time.

From our experience there is no such thing as a free lunch, but we do not make a profit from seeing children; the fee covers surgery running costs and our staff wages. If your child needs dental treatment and is under the age of 12, we always offer a referral to the Childrens' Dental Service where they will be seen for free.

are you wheelchair accessible ?
